Experienced All-Around Handyman Needed – Full Time – Jacksonville – $20/hr
We are a growing real estate investment and property management company seeking a highly skilled, experienced, and dependable handyman to join our team full-time.
This is a long-term position for someone who can handle a wide variety of maintenance, repair, turnover, and renovation work on rental properties. We are looking for a self-starter who can work independently, solve problems, communicate well, and take pride in producing quality work.
This is not an entry-level position. We are looking for someone with extensive experience in residential maintenance and renovations who can work independently with minimal supervision.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
Occupied Rental Property Maintenance
* Plumbing repairs and troubleshooting
* Electrical repairs and fixture replacement
* Drywall repairs
* Interior and exterior painting
* Door and window repairs
* Appliance installation and repairs
* General maintenance and tenant service calls
Renovations & Turnovers
* Kitchen installations
* Cabinet installation
* Granite and countertop installation
* Flooring installation
* Bathroom remodels
* Framing and carpentry
* Roofing repairs and shingle replacement
* Siding repairs
* Concrete and masonry repairs
* Interior and exterior renovations
* Complete property turnovers
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
* Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in residential maintenance, remodeling, or construction
* Strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, flooring, framing, roofing, and general repairs
* Ability to diagnose problems and complete repairs without constant supervision
* Ability to work independently and manage your own day
* Ability to follow instructions and company standards
* Positive attitude and strong work ethic
* Honest, dependable, and professional
* Ability to communicate clearly by phone and text
COMMUNICATION REQUIREMENTS
Communication is extremely important.
You will be expected to:
* Provide daily progress updates
* Send photos of completed work and ongoing projects
* Communicate issues promptly
* Notify management when materials are needed
* Keep management informed about project status and potential problems
TOOLS REQUIREMENT
Applicants must have their own professional tool inventory.
* Must own and maintain a complete set of professional-grade tools necessary to perform plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, flooring, carpentry, roofing, and general repair work
* Company provides materials only
* Employee is responsible for supplying all tools needed to perform the job
* We do not provide tools
VEHICLE REQUIREMENT
* Must own a reliable pickup truck, cargo van, or work vehicle capable of transporting tools, equipment, and materials
* Must have a valid driver's license
* Must maintain vehicle insurance
* Employee is responsible for all transportation costs, including gas, vehicle maintenance, and travel expenses
* No mileage reimbursement, gas allowance, or travel compensation is provided
COMPENSATION
* $20 per hour
* Full-time position
* 40–60 hours per week available
* 5–6 days per week
