I have a Great Pyrenees that needs someone that can provide a stable, spacious, peaceful home.
Astro was born the day after Christmas in 2023, he came into our home in March of ‘24 as a gift from a friend. He's currently 23 months old and full grown weighing in around 130 pounds. We immediately noticed a slight aggression towards our smaller dogs during feeding times when he was still a puppy. After conversations with our vet we tried various measures to curtail the food aggression. Those measures have, unfortunately, been unsuccessful.
He MUST go to a home with NO other MALE dogs.
When Astro is not around the other animals he is really well behaved and gentle. He is also fiercely protective of my teenage daughters. I feel he really just needs a home where he is able to get out and roam, free of the stress from other dogs. As of now, he’s having to be crated a large portion of the time, which is not fair to him.
We’re looking for a good forever home for Astro. He will come with his toys, beds, grooming tools, matching collar/harness/leash, and his giant crate.
He’s well loved, we just can’t safely home him anymore and the only option from the vet was euthanasia. The last thing we want to see is him be put down for something that we can’t/don’t have the ability to fix.
