Let me introduce you to the Nashville numbering system of playing most any song in any key with only 8 shapes, and a capo on your acoustic guitar.
If you play bass guitar, let me show this same method with just 2 shapes.
If you want to play lead, let me teach you the 2 patterns that give you access to the full range of the neck, plus allow you to play and improvise in any key. These are the 2 shapes the pros use, not the 5 that are usually taught.
If you want bar chords, I will teach you the 2 shapes (only one for power chords with no altering needed) you need to know and how to alter them to make the rest.
I'm 78 and have been teaching guitar since I was 16 years old. I presently teach guitar at Christian Home Academy in Orange Park.
Your first lesson will be free so you can see the system and I can see what you need; then it's $25 for each lesson after. This translates into $100 per month for the 4 or 5 lessons each month. Sorry, no makeups as you have an extra lesson (#5) on some months.
