Need a hands-on helper to assist my mechanic reassembling an engine. You don't need to be a mechanic, but you DO need to:
Know your way around basic hand tools (sockets, wrenches, ratchets, torque wrench)
Follow directions from the mechanic without needing everything explained twice
Show up on time and be reliable
This is grunt work with a skilled guy running the show — handing tools, holding parts, torquing bolts to spec, cleaning components, keeping the workspace organized. If you've turned wrenches on your own vehicles or worked in a shop before, you'll be fine.
