Banana trees are extremely easy to grow but if you happen to kill it, bring it back and I'll replace it.
Select the sunniest part of your yard closest to an area that receives lots of running water (not standing water). Banana tree roots love sandy soil, however keep mulch on top of your soil within a 5 ft diameter around your tree each tree. Normally banana trees will grow many other banana trees within a few months after planting for efficiency you should try to maintain no more than two trees within a 5 ft radius.
Buckets are a travel convenience, the tree should be planted in the ground as soon as possible any early evening, or overcast day.
Winter weather in Jacksonville slows and/or stops banana tree growth, it normally takes 2 years for banana trees to grow from infancy to maturity, due back, then for maturity to fruiting.
After a particular banana tree fruits it will never fruit again so it's best to simply cut that tree to the ground and use it as fertilizer for other vegetation. Bananas are high in potassium which is one of the three most important nutrients for all plant life.
