Antique 1800s Solid Tiger Oak Norwegian Side-by-side secretary desk! - $599 (Cesery Blvd & Arlington expressway)

I have in my possession, this spectacular, solid tiger, oak antique side-by-side from Norway!
Yes, there are oak trees in Norway mostly in the southern parts.
This came out of the Edward’s estate recently liquidating just a small portion of their mini possessions acquired over the generations.
A 78 year-old woman from the Edwards family told me that her grandmother came over from Norway and had this when she was a little girl.
This is dated back to be about 150 years old.
As you can see, the Norwegian dragons, much like the long neck dragons that were at the bow of the ancient Viking warships from the Viking age are featured near the top of this piece. Really nice intricately hand carved designs in the wood.
This has the original mirror glass from when it was first made. You can tell the mirror glasses old because there’s tiny little black spots called pitting that happens overtime. You can’t duplicate that patina and it’s desirable and a piece like this.
The convex bowfront glass is the original glass as well.
And the original key comes with this and still can lock and unlock the bottom cabinet.
The only flaw in this thing is the key that unlocks the secretary desk is stuck in the hole. And the handle of the key is broken off. So it’s just a stem of a key stuck in the hole of the lock.
But the secretary desk still opens and closes manually
Other than that, this is a very solid and sturdy piece that stood the test of time.
The finish on the Tiger Oak is somewhat of a very subtle cherry finish.
