For Sale – 1986 Porsche 928S – asking $ 13,500 cash
Garnet Red Metallic, Burgundy interior, Automatic transmission, 5.0L V8 engine, 113,200 miles currently, clear title, always garaged under car cover.
Purchased from previous owner 2015 with 112,700 miles on the odometer.
Timing belt, roller & tensioner, water pump, alternator replaced by previous owner in 2015.
Vehicle serviced in 2015 by All Euro Car Care, LLC in Jacksonville, FL – replaced crankshaft sensor, installed new front grill/spoiler, serviced A/C and converted to R134, replaced leaking pressure switch, performed transmission service (new filter, ATF fluid & pan gasket), replaced all door jam & dome lights, replaced dash light rheostat, replaced rear hatch motor & lower latch assembly, replaced ABS relay, replaced sunroof switch, replaced fan housing & both fan bearings.
Replaced emissions air pump & belt in 2018.
Installed new battery in 2024.
Tires replaced in 2012 yet appear to be in great condition.
Comes with service records since new, including original dealer bill of sale.
Known issues: A/C not blowing, front seat bottoms need reupholstering eventually, sunroof interior liner is sagging slightly (see photos), front passenger seat not responding to switch, dash was covered with a vinyl cover by previous owner (has velour cover over it), rear seat-backs had leather cracking on the back edges so I made some slip cover for them but will include replacement rear seats (see photos), will include rear passenger sun visors (see photo), will include new set of engine air tubes (see photo), will also include a full set of 928 Repair Manual Volumes (in binders). There is a small amount of rust bubbles along the bottom of the rear passenger side window (see photo). Also, the door bump/rub strip on the passenger side has a couple of ripples in it (see photo, hard to make out, but it’s there). Passenger side mirror is glitchy when adjusting. Reverse lights intermittent. Fuel gauge intermittent.
Vehicle starts right up, runs and drives very well. Headlights go up and down without any issues. Reason for selling – had originally planned on fully restoring the 928 but simply don’t have the time to exercise and enjoy the car as much as it needs to be.
