ThemeWorks is a leading provider of themed entertainment projects throughout the world. We are growing and seek a dynamic and organized planner with great people skills to join our team as a Production Coordinator.
The Production Coordinator works in conjunction with the Production Manager, Project Managers and Shop Supervisors to maintain a consistent flow of production and ensure schedule milestones are met.
The primary responsibilities of the Project Production Coordinator include, but are not limited to:
Develops and maintains the overall production schedule which identifies and sequences the activities and resources needed to successfully complete projects
Identifies issues negatively impacting production flow and works with the Production Team to resolve them
Identifies resource gaps, works with Production Team to resolve them
“Pre-Flights” Production Work Orders to ensure all required drawings, materials, hardware, etc. are on-site prior to start of fabrication.
Monitors production of all project components being fabricated
Tracks each component as it progresses through the production process
Develops an understanding of factors affecting each component’s production by interfacing with Production Manager, Shop Supervisors, Project Managers, etc.
Determines actual progress vs. scheduled progress
Assesses production capacity vs demand and forecasts production resource needs
Schedules, plans and hosts production meetings to coordinate work
Desired qualifications include:
Experience working with diverse teams of skilled experts
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Proficiency in computer-based scheduling programs, such as Microsoft Project
Bachelors degree in related field; or equivalent experience
Familiarity with the principles of operations management, especially in high mix, low volume manufacturing environments
Experience operating in a high stakes environment that is fast paced and constantly changing
Additional Considerations :
This position will not begin until January 2020
This position requires extensive time in an industrial environment
This is a full-time position based in our High Springs (Gainesville area) Florida facility
