This Niddy Noddy is a vintage/antique piece in excellent condition.
Use as a beautiful decorative antique artifact or to wind yarn.
The Niddy Noddy was used traditionally and is still used now by crafters to wind yarn to make into skeins.
It was constructed using the mortise and tendon method. (There are no nails holding the pieces together – just carefully carved wooden pieces that tightly fit together.)
It is 18” long.
Each end piece (cross bar) is 12.5” long.
The two end pieces are at a 90 degree angle to each other.
The design is one of the nicest – simple and elegant – of those available today.
It’s a beautiful piece – for decoration or for use with yarn.
