17th century most likely French candlestick holders handmade wood there are so many tells on these candle sticks portraying that they are very old. The design is incredible. The wood is so lightweight and delicate. The old paint is still nice. It's fading. It must've been so brilliant hundreds of years ago when they made them.
I was asked to bring them to an auction house like Sotheby's however I don't have the money to consign them with an auction house. Nor do I have the time and experience to do that. My estimate they could be worth anywhere from $4000-$15,000 depending on the auction that they make it to. You can simply find pewter and silver and gold and brass candle stick holders but to find a hand carved old wood One is like finding the holy Grail. Also, I have the sheath and the three items that go in the sheath you can see the age of the leather sheath. The leather is very worn. Got a lot of use many many years ago. It's a very unique item and very old. The statue is a wooden statue of an African woman very beautiful. It's about 5 pounds. It's a heavy wood very old very unique very beautiful and bold. Not sure how much that's worth, but I was told up to $2000 to start. Again, another item that would work well at auction.
