Here are 3 reasons this fire pit is cool:
1) Removable base - this enables you to put the base either on the bottom or the top of the body of the fire pit.
Notice the body of the fire pit has a straight edge one side and a rounded edge on the other side if you connect the base to the rounded edge it could be locked in place making it easier to move as a single unit.
2) Ventilation - the plastic plugs in the base are removable, remove them before any burn to facilitate additional ventilation. If the base is elevated off the ground, perhaps with bricks or pavers, that elevation will enable airflow to be drawn up into the fire pit resulting in a more efficient burn.
3) Replaceable base - usually when the bottom of a fire pit rusts or burns out you throw away the whole appliance, but because our base is removable you can choose to replace it for $5 - $10.
