Ashley Square is a new senior living (62+) construction development on vacant land located in Jacksonville. Ashley Square will be a six-story building, with two floors of parking, an amenities area located on the ground level, and four floors consisting of 96 one-bedroom and 24 two-bedroom units totaling 120 units.
Our 1 bedrooms are $1091 per month and our 2 bedrooms are $1310. Water, Sewer, Trash and Pest Control are included in the rent. The resident will have to contact JEA to turn on the electric.
To qualify: Our residents must be 62 or older, have twice the rent for income (and we accept Section 8 Vouchers)
Our new building is geared up for helping the senior population be able to keep their independent living lifestyle as long as possible. We have 4 floors of resident living for a total of 120 units with on-site gate-controlled parking and laundry facilities on each residential floor.
Our internal communal areas have and are equipped with: A computer lab/business office, a library, a meeting/rec room, and a workout facility.
For public transportation, JTA has bus stops right in front of the building and does not require any distance walking to get to it. JTA website: https://www.jtafla.com
Within walking distance (2-3 blocks) we have a Harvey's Grocery Store, a Family Dollar, MOCA (Museum of Contemporary Art), RAM (River Arts and Music) The Skyway Rail, Heming Park (James Johnson Weldon Park), Springfield Park and many other small eateries and entertainments.
For Senior Services, we provide or facilitate: Quarterly Health checks, flu and Covid Shots, and various other checkups (Eye, Ears, Nose) from various medical providers such as: CVS, Walgreens, Visiting Nurses and Spring Park Pharmacy to name a few. We host a daily activity event daily at 2:00 pm. Each day will be a different activity and/or social setting (Bingo, Beach Chair Volleyball, Word Puzzles, Arts/crafts, etc.) to encourage participation and socialization.
Our seniors are also welcomed to cross the road daily to our sister property, Cathedral Terrace, where breakfast (9:30 am) and lunch (11:30) are served Monday through Friday - this is completely free of charge.
If you know of any seniors who would love to relocate and live a downtown style of life, please refer them. We accept both appointments and walk-ins to complete applications.
When applying for and coming to the interview, we ask for the following:
A $15 Money Order - for each adult on the application - made payable to "Ashley Square Apartments"
Government Picture ID
Social Security Card
Proof of Income: Last 6 paystubs, Benefits letter from Social Security or SSI, Pension letters, and all other forms of income.
Bank Statements: Last 6 statements for your Checking Account and only need the most current and latest statement for Savings account
Life Insurance - Current Statement or Billing Invoice
Pet Owners - Proof of shot records and spay/neuter. $300 Pet Deposit (can be paid in monthly installments)
Emotional Support Animals - Documentation of Need from medical provider
