Hi. I am a 24 single college graduate that has a 19 mo old son. I have a steady job but due to the fact that I have so many expenses what with being a single mother, and waiting for the state to force my lovely ex to pay up, I cannot find a place to rent that is within the price range that I can afford that is in a decent area fit for raising a child. I am not home a lot as I work about 49+ hrs a week and usually at my boyfriends house on the weekends. I am a very neat person and would expect who I live with to be the same. What you do in your room is your own business, as long as it is respectful and legal. My ideal roommate would be someone that is a single mother as well, holds a steady job, and could afford her half of the rent and utilities. If you do not have a child, you need to be ok with having one in the house. I am very picky about who I live with as I have had bad roommate experiences before and now that I have a child, will be even moreso about who I want around him. I will be wanting to purchase a 3 bedroom place for a min of 6mo. As I said 500 for rent would allow you to have your own bedroom and bathroom and would allow enough to split a 3 bedroom place. If you have a small child they could stay in your room or share a bedroom with my son. It is just really tough out there and there are plenty of decent places that can be split for a 3 room evenly.
