None of this crap is ever going to stop when the American people follow like a heard of sheep in the 2 party system. I aways hear about lesser of 2 evils.... I never thought Americans would ever become dumb enough to follow that rule. Democrats and Republicans have proven throughout the past 100 years of America's history that neither party really gives a crap about the American people, maybe in a election year but that is the extent of it. Democrats blame Republicans and vice versa, while the true independent voters see elections as a rigged card game. democrats and republicans have come and gone, yet our problems still persist. Well, both sides are half right... dems and reps are to blame... they are the only 2 parties to run this country. And as long as the American people continue to follow blindly a system in which hasn't worked for them in 100 years or so, things will continue to go down hill. MLK was conservative, but was never dumb enough to associate himself with the corrupt GOP or DNC. Real conservatives vote for Chuck Baldwin and Ron Paul... Conservatives vote for real smaller government not creating another usuless department of the federal government(Homeland Security). Conservatives vote to not use deficit spending as a way to make another nation comply with our standards. Our founding fathers wanted to lead the world by example not by force. They wanted to show the world that many different men and women could come together and live civilly amongst each other, without pushing their beliefs on one another. But in the past 100 years our government both dems and reps have done the exact opposite. They have used scare tactics to get the people to willingly give up their rights(Federal Reserve Act, Social Security Act, Patriot Act, Bailouts of the 80's,and 2000's). They have pinned Americans against each other in hopes of keeping power. Because once the nation opens its eyes to the fact that money has taken over politics, the people will no longer vote in a democrat or republican. They will see the clear, yet, not so publicized candidates that are independents, constitutionalist's, and libertarians. But the struggle will continue as money will try to take over them too. Thomas Jefferson saw monied corporations as one of civil liberties greatest threats.
I hope we shall crush in its birth the aristocracy of our monied corporations which dare already to challenge our government to a trial by strength, and bid defiance to the laws of our country.

Politics is such a torment that I advise everyone I love not to mix with it.

Power is not alluring to pure minds.

Question with boldness even the existence of a God; because, if there be one, he must more approve of the homage of reason, than that of blind-folded fear.

And the best quote from the man,
The moment a person forms a theory, his imagination sees in every object only the traits which favor that theory.
