God legislates on a individual level, Government legislates a nation of individuals. Plain and simple. and God has not been removed from government. 50's and 60's the term god was placed on our national currency and put into the pledge. GW publicly said many times he had asked god what to do in situations, and Obama is a god fearing man. WHat god?? who knows...better yet who cares. God guides the ones who want him to guide them, Government is made up of elected officials put in place to govern the masses. Which is why the separation of church and state should be strengthened. I mean look at how religious establishments are tax exempt, then those establishments contribute a large amount to candidates running for public office. So to say god has been removed from government is just foolish. This nation is too diverse to allow anyone other than a elected official to run this country. Now have people voted for the wrong folks, of course. Thats a no brainer, but god has been sited as a major contributing factor in wars over thousands of years. If you are a god fearing person would you take god out of your life just because of that?? No. As I would never expect anyone to, thats just crazy. Everything is freedom of choice here or at least it used to be.
