America is not and was NEVER meant ot be a Christian nation. Our forefathers were men of ALL faiths. Thomas Jefferson, the primary author of the Constitution , was by NO stretch of the imagination, a Christian. George washington was a Deist. Infact, most of our forefathers were Deists.

Our forefathers did NOT intend Christianity to be the religion of state. They did not intend ANY religion be the religion of state. To even suggest it is absurd. The had a clean slate to make this nation anythign they wanted it to be. That they did not write Christianity as the religion of state into the constitution says they did not WANT that. That they gave us freedom of religion means they did nto want religion to play ANY part in Government.

Christianity has enjoyed many courtesies extended to them from society and this has led many Christians to consider those courtesies as rights. Courtesies such as prayer in school . The courtesy has been abused and so it is being rescinded . You are nto losing rights ,you are losing courtesy. You can pray anywhere you want. You can read your Bible anywhere you want. What you can not do is force other people to put their lives on hold and watch the show you put on to be seen of men. You can not force others to bow their heads in prayer and embrace your religon and customs.
