My husband and I are looking for a home in the Jacksonville area as he has just accepted a new job there. We are from Denver and are looking to be in FL by Dec 1st. We want to be very honest about our situation. We have had a tough time dealing with finanical issues but have come a long way in the past 12 months. We both have credit scores in the 550s but have an excellent rental history for the last 12 months and our landlord will give us a great reference. We have 3 children, I stay at home with them, they are 5, 3 and 3 months. We have absolutely no credit card debt or car payments. We are extremely clean and can provide pictures of our current home. My husband will be starting a new job and we will be happy to get a letter to verify employment and salary.
Having said all of that this is what we would be looking for:
Single family home
Rent can not exceed $1700
4 bedrooms
2 or more bathrooms
safe neighborhood
near schools or bus stops
as much space as possible as there are 5 of us.
We have a golden retriever/border collie who is 10 years old, 3 legs and very well behaved. 40lbs soaking wet. Deposits are no problem.
What we can bring to the table:
My husband is an engineer and very educated in home repair and lawn care.
Very tidy
We are a quiet family
Willing to accept short term leases to protect your interest although we are looking for as long as 3 years.
We are working hard everyday to improve our finanical situation and would very much appreciate a chance to show how responsible we have become.
